PHOTOGRAPHIC COMPETITION 2018 JUDGING DAY

Bromsgrove Photographic Society kindly came along to the Village Community Centre the night before, to set up the boards ready for the next day of judging the photographs.   On the day BPS member Colin Close, took his time studying the photographs in the three different categories, of Bournheath View, Transport & Water.  The quality of the entries on the day, was very good and the competition strong.  Having scrutinised the photographs, Colin chose the best photograph from each group, then went on to further examine the three winning photographs, in order to select an overall Best In Show photograph.

The Best In Show was from the Transport category, titled Hogwarts Adventure, taken by 12yr old Bromsgrove Prep School pupil and Dodford resident, Lily Rose.  As all the photographs were only labelled with the title of the photograph, the judge was unaware who the photographers were.  There is no doubt that Lily's photograph stood out from the rest, even though some of the other photographs were taken by seasoned photographers.  We have a rising star in our midst!
